100 Seed+ Stage
Latinx Startups by 2020

Our Vision

The Latinx Founders Collective is an initiative to help create a high-impact community of 100 venture-funded Latinx founders by 2020. To do this we are convening founders, capital providers, mentors and advisors and focusing our work to help Latinx founders:

  • Gain access to and close Seed, Series A and Series B funding

  • Increase visibility and awareness for their personal and professional brands

  • Connect to business development opportunities

  • Build multi-generational wealth and reinvest in the Latinx startup ecosytem

Background

In late 2016, IHCC launched the IHCC/1871 Hispanic Tech Incubator program to foster opportunities for Latinx technology companies - providing educational programming, technical resources and access to networks. Since launching in late 2016, 25 Latinx founders have completed the program and 14 founders are currently participating in the program’s third cohort. Cohort companies have already raised nearly $2M in early stage capital and some have gone on to notable accelerators including Elmspring and Techstars.

The Latinx Founders Collective was created as a result of the success of IHCC’s incubator program and the need and desire to help cohort companies and other similar founders across the country.
